This high quality video shows ultrasound set up, probe positioning and common ultrasound findings in emergency room trauma patients.  The exam includes step by step instructions to evaluate for hemoperitoneum, pericardial effusion and pneumothorax using ultrasound.  Evaluation for free fluid in the abdomen includes views from the right upper quadrant, left upper quadrant and pelvis.  The subxiphoid four chamber cardiac view is used to evaluate for hemopericardium. The pleura is examined using a linear probe at 5 different locations along each side of the chest wall.  The video is not downloadable but may be accessed indefinitely by internet from any computer, smart phone, or tablet. Click below to preview the E-FAST video.

This is a fantastic course.
Its Mostly hands-on throughout the entire weekend. The proctors were always available for questioning and gave excellent feedback. I Highly recommend the course for anybody who needs to brush up on procedures, learn potential new procedures or looking for more training.
