Austin, Texas 2016

Our last conference of 2016 held in Austin, Texas was a great way to end the year for Hospital Procedures Consultants, the feedback was positive from everyone!  Our conference was held at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel Austin where we were accomodated with true southern hospitality.  The warm cookies at check-in were such a great surprise!

After Saturday’s course we headed downtown to see the sights and sounds of the city.  Our Staff was treated to dinner at Eddie V’s, a fine fishhouse known for their steaks too.  Eddie Says, “Man cannot live on music, wine, and fine dining alone. But it’s worth exploring. Here’s to living it up.”  From the looks on everyone’s faces, I’d say that was fairly accurate!

Austin is known for its colorful nightlife and music scene, a stroll down Sixth street would give a glimpse of the husle and bustle.  Music emanated from bars, restaurants, theatres, you name it.  there were people in lines waiting to get into packed venues and others relaxing on rooftop patios taking in the nights offerings.  It all made for a fun experience.

A glimpse upwards would show you a beautiful skyline, more notably, a view of the Frost Bank Tower.  A wonderful flux of classic and contemporary design, this skyscraper was the first to be built in the US following 911.  We saw it from many angles throughout our trek–then finally, a perfect opportunity to capture its majesty.

There are so many beautiful sights in this cultural and economic center, the capital city of Texas along the Colorado River, which is officially known as “The Live Musical Capital of the World.”  One weekend is certainly not enough time to take them all in, however, grateful for the opportunity we had.  Hoping we return to Austin soon!
